 Sosnowska\, PhD for a thought-provoking talk on the Polish-American 
 experience in Chicago. While the city boasts a rich Polish heritage\, Dr. 
 Sosnowska explores why many Polish-American leaders feel disconnected from 
 the city and its cultural legacy. Don’t miss this engaging discussion on 
 community\, identity\, and the shifting dynamics of Polish American life in

 blue button below). \n\nAbout the speaker\nAnna Sosnowska is an associate 
 professor of sociology at the University of Warsaw and a 2024-2025 
 Kosciuszko Foundation scholar at Loyola University Chicago. She is an 
 author of Explaining Economic Backwardness. Postwar Polish Historians on 
 Eastern Europe 2019 and Polski Greenpoint Nowy Jork. Gentryficaja\, 
 stosunki etniczne i imigrancki rynek pracy na przełomie XX i XXI wieku 
 2016 (in Polish). During her stay at Loyola\, she works on her book An 
 Abandoned City? Polish-American Chicago in the 21st c. and teaches a
